get the head over the seat then hold on to the legs and fall over the other side.

Shoot small deer. Tender.

If I don't have help, I find it easier to drag the deer up and over the seat and then slide him onto the rack. Most of the time I just fight them up there, but if you have a rope, you can do this a lot easier.
1. Drag deer up to the foot rest and get the front shoulder to rest there.
2. Tie rope around neck or base of antlers.
3. Tie rope to tree on the other side of the bike.
4. Stand on footrest opposite of deer and ease the gas on.
5. Guide the antlers with one hand to prevent them grabbing seat, etc.
6. Deer will slide right up the fender.

Get the head up over the foot rest. Stand up on the back rack, squat down and grab the horns.
Try not to blow out a nut while pulling him up the seat.

We've been killing the heaviest deer that I've ever been around lately. 1 person just isn't loading them alone, without some mechanical help.
Usually though, I would agree on the sliding up over the seat and then pushing back to the rack from there.

I used to put them on the back of my camry and the spoiler would hold them there. I would position the rack or front legs where i could grab a hold while standing on trunk. i would climb up and dead lift the deer up on to the trunk.

Viking Solutions make some pretty neat gizmos. I might end up buying the L-E Vator.

You got to get up on the wheeler then pull it up there. Or in the back of your sxs or truck and pull them up.

Nobody field dressing these things anymore? Daddy taught me how to when i was young and i have gutted every deer we shoot including Doe and small Bucks. Just easier to handle.

Home-made game hoist. Just some pipe and a boat winch welded together.

If the situation warrants it, sure. But having a big steamy pile of guts laying out by a stand you plan on hunting again soon is not generally a good idea.
