If Davis plays with Cousins, all that happens is the Rockets put Anderson in and make Davis defend him at the 3-pt line, while Capela holds down the interior.
Edit: Davis stops those easy worthless arse 28 points from Capella that he never gets.

i disagree with everyone saying the Pels win withDavis. its a completely different game with him in, and you have no idea of the outcome. Moore may not have gone for 30 whatever he did if Davis is in, nor may they hit those 3s. really not understanding why Pels fans are coming in all hot after a game they should have lost by 20 and really lost by 1 or 2 possessions down the stretch
+1
No AD forces us to have actual ball movement, bench players like E’twaun become much more aggressive, and we are still one of the worst defensive teams in the league regardless if AD plays or not

Point still remains. Rockets have a lot of different lineups they throw out.
I have a hard time thinking the Pelicans could have played much better offensively with Davis. I just dont think it would have been that simple.

Haters gonna hate. Good game, NO.

OKAY. Sure. Pels are still worst team in the league at defending pnr, whether its Cousins or Davis.
Like I said before, Davis or not, the Pelicans were in that game because they were 18/33 from 3 point range. Simple as that. Rockets did not perform abnormally besides Capela who was feasting on an obvious defensive deficiency the Pelicans have routinely displayed this season.

I almost felt bad for boogie on some of the pnr because there was zero help on harden or Clint.

And rockets win a lot of games by launching 50 million threes a game. Who cares? Pels actually shoot the ball well from three this year but I know you wouldn’t know that.
Pelicans are 3rd in the nba in 3P% over the last 17 games. This isn’t some fluke. They can light it up. You saying they couldn’t have done better while having their best player is ridiculous. For one, Damon Jones never sees the court. That right there is where the game changed. CP3 got momentum as soon as that happened. And I knew how the outcome would be. Credit to Paul, he embarrassed him.

You had two players w their best career games or damn near. Set a franchise record for three pointers made. Shoot almost 60% and still lose to a pedestrian effort from CC.
“Great job, good effort” pels. James defense in the last few minutes was suffocating. 3 steals. Held his own w cousins a coupe trips down. And showed why he is the mvp front runner in the other end.

Learn what effective FG% and true shooting % is and get back to me.

OKAY, except they've literally never made this many three-pointers in the history of their franchise.
Pels must be secretly a better 3-pt shooting team than the Warriors the way you talk.

Because you completely ignore how Davis would have effected the game in every other way, or how putting Davis in the game would have taken away several of your all-star 3 point shooters tonight.
You just assume 123 + Davis PPG. Its the most elementary view possible.

Chris Paul is a HOF PG, and you're acting surprised. He might've done that to whoever you put in. Whats on your bench is apart of your team, just FYI. Pels don't have any bench, who's fault is that? The Rockets bench is a HUGE part of their success, I'm not sorry for that.

OKC is a disaster. It ain't Melo's fault either. Billy D should have stayed at Florida. It is going to take a coach that ain't afraid of Russ but who he respects, too. Not sure if that coach exists.

The reason Capela was getting easy buckets is because Cousins had to help on Harden at the rim. That’s why Harden “only” had 26 pts.
What would usually be a Harden layup was a Capela dunk.

You don’t know as much about basketball as I do, bud. I assure you of that.
And how am I acting surprised. I watched Chris Paul long before he was on your team. He played for New Orleans, I’ve seen him in person many times. How the frick was I acting surprised by it? I know how good he is.

Yea donovan won’t survive this. But I don’t think Any coach could get those guys to play team ball. It all starts w Westbrook, it’s his team.

This dude is really coming at me with this shite like I don’t know what TS% is.

Westbrook is having the worst season of his career. A guy thats game has been built from athleticism, gotta wonder what he will look like 2-3 years from now. Throw in Melo who is really inefficient, and it’s just a mess.

People are pointing at Russ a bit, but I think Melo and Donovan go before anyone even thinks about Russ as the root cause.
I think the thing with Russ is, when he goes all out you're probably never going to be bad team, but you're never going to be a really good team either. I think whatever this is isn't Russ going all out, but there's not a high ceiling if he does anyways so....what gives?
Would OKC think about buying Melo out? Would Melo demand a buyout if this keeps going south for them?

George will walk. Who knows what they do with melo? I’m pretty sure he’s under contract for another year after this one. His trade value is about zero at this point. He’s not gonna want or get a buyout. They’re still gonna make the playoffs. their fans will still think they can make a run if they just get in

I think thats given at this point.

He has his player option. If he opts in, he stands to make $23 million, which would kill OKC IMO.

With that contract, absolutely.

OKC may want one.

Probably true. I can't see them missing the playoffs...but it depends on which Western conference teams evolve. The Pelicans, Nuggets, Blazers, and Jazz all have the potential to push OKC down in the standings. If those teams continue to develop, OKC will have to figure it out quick or they'll be in a hole they dont have the energy to climb out of.

Carmelo Anthony left the locker room early and did not meet with reporters.
Tale of two franchises
With 26 points, 17 assists, 6 steals, James Harden first player to reach those numbers in a game since Michael Jordan and John Stockton in 1989.
