We are staying at the Hyatt House next to the Superdome. Can anyone recommend some good places to eat around that area, preferably seafood places? Thanks

Borgne is in the area. GW Fins and Peche are also great options.

Really? You are in walking distance of the FQ. Some of the best restaurants anywhere. What do you like? Seafood? Creole? American? Whatever? Budget?

How far of a walk to the French quarter is the Hyatt House?

10 minutes, probably less, but fair estimate.

You are a $10 Uber from the some of the best food in the country, don’t limit yourself to around the freakin Superdome.

My favorite seafood restaurant in town right now is G.W.Fins. If you want to stay in that immediate area, I would suggest Borgne which is in your hotel, but I would much rather travel the short distance to Fins.

Borne is right there. Hands down best choice location-wise, steps from your hotel and dome. And it’s a Besh establishment.

Me B’s gumbo can’t be beat If you venture down to the quarter.

It is an easy walk from the Hyatt to the Quarter. We do it all the time for events at the Superdome. Just be careful late at night. But if you stick to the beaten path (St. Charles Ave. and Poydras St.) you should be fine.

If you are against walking, you could always take the Loyola St street car for $1.25 to Canal St and all the way down to Harrahs.

Someone else also said it but you are within 1 mile of a lot of restaurants with great seafood options, Borne, Peche, Fins, Sac-a-lait, Seaworthy, even Deanie's is good especially if your goal is order a big fried seafood platter and stuff yourself silly.
Weather will be great as well, figure out where you are going, walk down Poydras (well lit and safe street with activity pretty much 24/7), then turn on appropriate side street to get to your destination.

FQ has some of the worst restaurants in New Orleans and a few good ones.

Meh. There are more than a "few" good ones.
But I agree there are some bad places

My wife and I just ate at Meril's Friday. I was really impressed. It's an Emeril restaurant that features small plates so it's easy to share a lot of different things. It's right by Lucy's a couple blocks off of Poydras.
We started with 3 plates. One was a flatbread with cheese and sausage that was great. It wasn't anything you can't get somewhere else but I loved it. The sweet and sour calamari was great with the calamari cooked perfectly. It wasn't greasy or overly breaded. We also had the croquettes which were decent.
The main plates we got were exceptional. The Linguine with clams was wonderful. Good flavor and the pasta was homemade. The star was the candied pork ribs. I'm not a big fan of sweet flavors on meat but this was wonderful.
I can't wait to go back and try some other things on the menu.
