But will Chip have the same kind of success at UCLA?
Why do you seem to think he wont?

Just playing devil's advocate, but going head to head against USC in recruiting will be tough. I'm impressed that ucla's boosters funded Kelly, but they'll have to keep funding recruiting too, and not get caught doing anything illicit, which was probably a lot easier to do at Oregon, because you are in a media fishbowl in Los Angeles. Eugene, Oregon? Not so much.

Uh....he has already done so. I thibk it'll be easier at UCLA. Before he had Nike behind him to sell Oregon and the weather.
He doesn't have to sell recruits on the weather anymore.

Well he won't be able to sell them on the facilities. That 80 yard practice field sin't going to impress anyone.
Worst facilities in the Pac...

True, but I still see it as a sell that isn't a hard. Oregon HAD to have top notch facilities. The weather has always been used against them.

StrawsDrawnAtRandom has been the most delusional poster possibly in this sites history through the ordeal. His posting over on he UF bboard have been classic

If he's afraid of competition there's nothing we can give to him. Everything he talks about is being comfortable, because like I said: He is a pussy. Nothing he said about coaching for championships is true, he is looking to coast to an early retirement at a program that has no expectations because he doesn't have the fire to succeed in the SEC.
It has nothing to do with us, and everything regarding the personality of Chip Kelly being a bit of a cowardly weasel.
We offered him a lot more than UCLA, he just didn't want to be held accountable to succeed

He'll no doubt capitalize on the WeHo social scene. ucla is the perfect place for CK.

There's enough athletes in Cali for both teams. And Chip was beating USC when he had 3 star athletes at Oregon. You guys should be concerned.

Not concerned about Kelly at all. I'll be interested to see what kind of success or lack thereof, he has at ucla.

Kelly beat USC in '09 and '10 as well, before the sanctions took effect.

Sanctions that removed 30 scholarships (in a three year period) from USC started in June of 2010, so give Kelly credit for one win against USC in an unsanctioned season (2009).
He also lost to a sanctioned USC team in 2011.

Yeah but removing scholarships isn't going to affect the team that's already put together, it was just going to affect recruiting going forward. That was a legit win in 2010.

Uh huh....if you really aren't, you should be. In 2 years you will be.

Check back with me in 2 years then. That's 63,115,200 seconds from now. Start counting.
