What to wear to a rehearsal dinner?

What does the OT wear to a rehearsal dinner? Is it suit and tie formal, or just business attire?

Either suit and tie or suit with no tie and maybe a pocket square.

Sports coat or blazer. No tie.

Pretty much no chance you'll be under/over dressed with that combo.

depends on where it is. some friends of mine had a rehearsal dinner house party. it uh...wasn't formal.
