I must say, I'm disappointed in him. There are ways to call to action things you feel need to be addressed. Disrespecting the country, the men and women who have fought and died for you to have freedom, the national anthem, and the countless others that affords you the opportunity to make multi millions playing a game is not one of them. If you want to see some change, go into the inner cities, set up events where the kids can talk to the cops and maybe then they could understand each other better.

If that’s the position he wants to take, then I’m done with him. He’s one LSU player that I won’t support in the NFL.

Can not pull for him anymore. Boycotting the NFL, so it really doesn't matter.

You people are insufferable. I'm sick of this even being an issue - these guys can demonstrate however they want; I honestly don't care. But the fact that some of yall get so worked up over this is pathetic.

He once was one of my favorite all-time Tigers. Now I have no respect for him

Disagree with him all you want, say he could use energy in better ways, but the man is set for life and he isn't doing what is easy. He doesn't have to do a social protest, but he is. It would be a whole lot easier for him to not kneel. Why be "disappointed" in a Tiger for having a social consciousness when they don't have to have on? Whatever happened to respectful disagree in this country?

I don't give two shits about politics. I don't give one shite about what an athlete thinks about politics.

I totally agree! Reid is NO Longer a LSU Tiger ! He doesn't deserve to be a Tiger or American! Go to one of those third world far east toilets ,Eric and see how well you are treated!

This is the same guy you use to love when he had a tiger uniform on ripping the ball out of the Bama TEs hands.

After hours of careful consideration, and even a visit from Nate Boyer, a retired Green Beret and former N.F.L. player, we came to the conclusion that we should kneel, rather than sit, the next day during the anthem as a peaceful protest. We chose to kneel because it’s a respectful gesture. I remember thinking our posture was like a flag flown at half-mast to mark a tragedy. It baffles me that our protest is still being misconstrued as disrespectful to the country, flag and military personnel. We chose it because it’s exactly the opposite. It has always been my understanding that the brave men and women who fought and died for our country did so to ensure that we could live in a fair and free society, which includes the right to speak out in protest.

You're taking it wayyyyy too personally. He and a bunch of other players have a problem with being forced to stand for the anthem of a nation that they feel is rife with injustice. It has nothing to do with disrespecting soldiers.
