When I saw that gif, I swear I could smell our old country club’s arcade room.

I blew A LOT of quarters on that game.

Golden Axe

Probably my favorite arcade game ever. Also the last one to lure me into those places. It was at the end for me. Started with Defender as a kid. Spy hunter as I got older. Then Cyberball in my early teens. Golden Axe in high school.

Least favorite arcade game ever = Dragon’s Lair.

What a piece of shite, overpriced game. And, in the event that you had $1.00 to spend on an arcade game in 1988 (when all of the others cost $0.25), the piece of shite was always broken.

Track & Field, Defender, and Galaga at the arcade. Missile Command, Galaxian, and Space Invaders at the skating rink back in the day.

Zaxxon. Favorite arcade was the one on Vets near Dorignac's. Could also find some good arcade games at the front of grocery stores.

Dig Dug, Donkey Kong, Centipede and of course PacMan. Right off campus in the early - mid 80s. Best of times. Hit up Round the Corner, Library, Louie's, Godfather's, Bengal, etc. Before Chimes...
