Coaching Changes in the SEC

I think it's almost certain doom for Butch Jones after this Saturday. His only offensive weapon just got busted for smoking pot,...which in his defense if your playing for Butch Jones you need something to ease the pain.
Next, Brett Bilema is about to cash out probably at Arkansas. Maybe he can open up a new strip club or something.
McElwain though? You guys think they get him this year? I mean, faking death threats on family members and stuff is kinda junior high.

Les miles' podcast won't make it to new years day.

Which school you think he goes too? Wouldn't it be funny if he went to Nebraska?

The Butch Jones era is over. It's just a matter of when it becomes official
Bert is a little more interesting. The question is can Arkansas get someone better this season when they would likely be down the list on "best job available." Do you just ride it out with Bert and take a swing next year? Or is this the year to pounce?
McElwain has been benefiting greatly from a terrible SEC East. Someone had to win the division over the last 3 years. Now that UGA seems to have become the class of the division and McElwain's luck is starting to run out, the curtain has been pulled back to reveal he hasn't been a great coach. He was brought to UF to improve the offense. Thus far, the offense has been every bit as bad as it was under Muschamp, perhaps worse. I still think UF keeps him for at least another year.
The wild card is A&M. They could arguably be 6-1 right now and they have been the only SEC team to even show an ounce of fight vs. Alabama. Once again though, November will decide the season. Sumlin has 4 SEC games left. They SHOULD beat Ole Miss. The question is what do they do vs. MSU, Aub. LSU. Go 2-1 vs. those three (and beat OM) and I think Sumlin earns one more year by going 9-3. Go 1-2 or worse and I think A&M makes a move.
Sidebar -- Missouri is terrible. Do they waive the white flag and start over?

Missou got in over their heads in FB when they joined the SEC. I doubt that a coaching change will help that.

To put that statement in perspective, they've been to the SECCG twice since we last went.

IDK, but I hope that Bilema and McElwain hang around for one more year, at least. Jones is done, I just hope they wait until after the LSU win.

Well written.
I also remember when Missouri joined they said they are used to playing "Big Boy Football".
Seems like so long ago. I definitely think they could use some sort of change because it doesn't like what they have at this moment is working.
Someone said it the best though......in a year where it seems we will see quite a few head coaches lose their job in the SEC, and also fired in other conferences (Nebraska, Oregon St, Kansas, to name a few), who is going to Coach who, and how many first time Head Coaches will we see rise from the ranks of Coordinators.
Sure hope we do not lose one of our Baldies.

Les Miles will be considered for a few seconds by Arky, Fla., and Tenn. if respective coaches get fired ....... but unfortunately they are not going to hire ole Les..... and LSU will continue to pay Les

Mizzou was legit for years under Pinkel.

There's a lot of smoke coming from Gator land that McTeeth is not happy & is not a good fit for SEC football. He's more of a Left Coast head coach type. As such, talk is he's looking around out there, not talk that he'll get fired.

And two more times than Ole Miss (with about 20 more opportunities than Mizzou had) and A&M.

How does Arkansas sell their fans if they keep BB one more year?

I have friends in Missouri who say that the problems there are multiplied by the protests from several years ago. Supposedly, not only support for the sports teams is down, but support for the whole university is down.

LSU needs to take advantage of a shitty conference right now
Lets all pray no one is fired

The SEC a as a whole is just a very poorly coached conference. There could easily be six new coaches next year:
1) OM
2) UTenn
3) Mizzou (Odom is a good DC; someone to consider if Dave leabes.)
4) UF
5) Arky
6) Sumlin, Gus, Stoops
