The lack of a talented QB in Baton Rouge in a while has really blinded some of you.
Danny is not a good QB.
Any throw over 20yds is under thrown 90% of the time. He can’t throw the out. He’s 50/50 on pocket pressance. He doesn’t notice his check down half the time.
Is he a leader? Sure. Is he a tough competitor? Sure.
He’s a below average to average QB. And the SEC isn’t exactly overflowning with talented QBs.
Is he our best option? Yep, and we’re going to support him no matter what.
But let’s be realistic when calling him good or great.

Regardless of his ranking in the SEC, there isn't a team left on the schedule that fears Etling in any capacity, and that's okay.

He needs to take advantage of the big plays when they're there, and this team can quite possibly finish the season strong. I'm cautiously optimistic.

It is truly shocking to read some of these comments. People who know nothing about football and less about playing QB talk about Etling’s arm strength and performance and “consistency “ as if they know what they’re talking about.
He’s a good quarterback and better at what he does than you are at what you do. Enjoy
