I do understand what your saying. Our methods for punishment aren't working. I'm too lazy to look it up....anyone know what the repeat offender statistics are in a place like Russia or somewhere where prisoners are treated a lot harshly than they are in the US?

It's a badge of honor to go to jail in the US for some. They have 3 hots and a cot here in the states, which is more than some have when they are free. It's a vacation to those people. They're friends are there, free food, free medical, and your only worry is getting shanked, which again, is probably a lot better than what would happen to them on the outside. We really need to rethink our entire criminal justice system.
