No doubt this will be a hard fought game, but I have confidence in my Tigahs. A Saturday in Death Valley in the fall is a special place. My only wish is that the game would be a night game.
Surely, this game will test the mettle of this Tigah team. I believe our Tigahs will rise to the occasion.

I honestly don't know what to expect.

I was on the sideline for that game. I knew when I walked in the stadium we would win that day.
People forget Ole Miss was 7-0 with a win over Bama going into that game and averaging 35 points per game.
A putrid LSU offense cobbled together 10 points and somehow held OM to 7 (horrible game called by Freeze certainly helped out).

If Shea Patterson was their quarterback instead of Bo Wallace, Ole Miss wins that game 28-10.

With the combination of out Co head coaches in Alleva/Orgeron, my expectations will be extremely low until one of those guys gets the axe.

Game looks a lot like the Mississippi State game, maybe a little worse.
Would love to see LSU crush Auburn's hopes and dreams, but we just aren't any good.

Auburn is definitely the better team but the stats they have put up are against some bad SEC teams.
We've played 2 bad SEC teams as well and how did we look?

Hell let's give them Deuce McCallister and Mike Wallace while we're at it. They would have really kicked the shite out of LSU that night.

extremely low. i'm braced for a 45-3 type defeat so losing a close one will be a pleasant surprise.

Delusionally unoptimistic.

So we lost to Troy two weekends ago. Now that that's out of the way, I anticipate the players will play much better ball and be more physical.*
However, there's a big asterisk by that above comment, and it is:
*This LSU team will play much tougher than they did against Troy. But this Auburn team coming to town is a legitimate top ten team. I was about to make a sarcastic comment here about the Barners being just a tad better than Troy, but it's no comparison so I won't waste my time. Barn would kill Troy probably 55-10.
Is this LSU team capable of beating Auburn on Saturday? Frick yes they are. But it will take a flawless game and some turnovers and lucky breaks. And I am less than confident in our HC who promised he had learned his lesson about micromanaging when he was at Ole Miss, yet who just had a meeting in which our AD had to step in and tell him to stop micromanaging.
I predict Auburn lighting up cigars in TS Saturday evening, and I hope to hell that I'm wrong about that.

There was a time (not very long ago):
1. when I was confident that the LSU coaches would have the team ready to play;
2. I could be confident that on both sides of the ball there would be competent, hard hitting football play, even if the offense was predictable.
3. That Death Valley would be full, loud and enthusiastic.
I am confident of none of these things this year.
