1-3 sucked. 4 was pretty good
Very odd opinion, far outside the consensus. 2 is by far the best of all of them and it's not close.
They all sort of run together though.
There is absolutely nothing remarkable or interesting about the Uncharted series. The gameplay is completely stock. The games' focus is entirely on presentation and story.
That's the Naughty Dog way though. Even TLOU is all sizzle and no steak. At its core it's just standard survival horror game. It got all the praise it got for characters and story, not for its gameplay.
Half of every single level being walking/talking is a huge chore and that's all Naughty Dog games.
I like good characters and story just fine, but gameplay still trumps all in my book.

I found the gameplay to be above average to good.
Story and presentation are top notch.
I will take that over the reverse any day.

i dont get this either though. sure, the production value is top notch, but the stories are predictable, cookie cutter treasure adventures. Blows my mind that Amy Hennig was the lead on them since she wrote the Legacy of Kain series, which has some of the best, deepest dialogue of all time. trying to appeal to mass market, I guess.

TLOU took a cookie cutter setting and excelled with the execution of its narrative. the story is well-told, the characters feel real, and it plays very well
maybe you had to play the uncharteds when they came out. I just didn't see it. I played TLOU before them and it was such a jarring downgrade that I couldn't get into them.
