Roof wasn't but basically everyone else on that list was either a Democrat or supported far left policies. The Columbine shooters DID come from democratic households. Even the Boston Bomber was an Obama lover.
I have no idea why Roof is even on the list UNLESS he was a member of that particular white nationalist group that supports socialism (American Vanguard I believe). Still doesn't make him a registered democrat though.

He could have been a Registered Democrat due to the state system of primaries, preliminaries, etc..
Louisiana used to have many more elections for Democrats than for Republicans. My staunchly Republican conservative parents were on paper Registered Democrats. They registered that way so that they could participate in, have a stronger voice in, more ballot/election issues. They never voted for a Dem, a Lib, any progressive items though. They always acted conservative Republican while being on paper Dems.
