We need these games guys to boost our overall record to be above .500. Fact of life caused by JoeA.

Syracuse is in the ACC. Also played BYU. These are pretty good out of conference games.
Are you high? Syracuse has been a dogshit program for most of the last 20 years. BYU had the potential to be a good game, but, of course, it was a neutral site game.

Well they never should have expanded seating. Especially work the obvious trend across college football attendance wise. Our great outdated leadership at work. That $ could have been pumped into the facilities & upgrades to the stadium experience for the fan. 92k was plenty imo

Dino is improving cuse. Still d-1 and tbey had some talent on the field last Saturday. Not a ton but Enough to build on. I think Dino will do a good job there.

Just another money grab game/simultaneous slap in the face to loyal season ticket holders !
IF, MORE $ is the answer to everything...why not sell another home game EVERY year or maybe play an SEC team at a neutral site every year...i.e. vs. Auburn every year in Atl. ? It would be great for the bottom line AND we could really dominate the Atl. recruiting region !

True, but I see his point. Syracuse is still a P5 school and BYU is a national brand. When many of these games are scheduled, there's no telling if the teams will be good or bad.
I think fans underestimate the difficulty of filling a schedule. Neutral site games aren't ideal, but Alleva would be roasted even further than he already is if he had turned down some of those matchups and ended up with an extra home game against a Sun Belt school. It's not like USC and Michigan are on hold, looking to travel to Tiger Stadium.
The upcoming home-and-homes with Texas and UCLA at least show we're trying. Hopefully no one backs out of those deals.

But...those neutral site games doe...

What are the odds that the TX/UCLA home/homes morph into neutral site games or somehow disappear altogether...just like the "phantom" home/home vs. OK ?
As long as the season ticket holders "buy" into the "we need the additional neutral site revenue"...AND look at all the recruits we'll get from these games...LOL !

Where are we playing those teams? Only Texas is at home. And most doubt it will stay

LSU plays in Austin in two years.
They'd have to change it to a neutral site basically in the next 12 months

Byu should have been in TS all along. Fans paid same rates this year and were screwed out of a game and left with garbage.

It's always possible the games get changed. The TCU game in Jerry World was originally scheduled as a home-and-home.
However, the Pac-12 teams we've scheduled over the years have kept their commitments and the Texas series is only 2 years away, so I think there's reason for optimism.

Or watch it get cancelled
Posted on 9/29/17 at 9:59 pm to nvasil1
If the Texas game gets cancelled fans are left with UTSA and Nichols and neutral with Rice. So they better fricking not cancel

I don't understand why on OOC game like Middle TN st/Western KY/So Ala can't be utilized as a neutral site money grab game ??? OH, that's right...NO ONE wants to see that crap, especially THREE of them at HOME !

Every team in the sec has these games

No the schedule isn't the problem, it's our whiny arse Fans who would rather go back to drink at the tailgate that are the problem.... I can see if you say hey I'm not going to go to the game because I want to watch it on my TV at home since we have 4K resolution where I can count individual Blades of grass now, but when you go in the game and can't think of anything but going back out to your tailgate to get drunk that is the problem with the fans
