Fitz, Nighteyes, Fool, and crew have 9 books. All vital to their overall character arcs. I'm not including Live Ship or Dragon Keepers.
I understand what you mean about "The Farseer Trilogy" bring the first 3 only, but the whole story is more. The 1st series is best, but the last book was easily my favorite.

Right, and thats all I really wanted. No commitment to a long series, but if I like it enough then I can go to the next trilogy.
