Your sanctimonious bullshite is a little old. I understand rooting for the team, but you act as though every fan has to ride the ship to the bottom of the ocean, or they are a bad fan.

This has always been a rebuild. How are people not seeing that
Link us your posts making this claim before the MSU game then.

Y’all keep taking stuff to the extremes. It’s almost like you don’t like O and haven’t from the beginning, and want him to fail.
If you're on a plane and it's plummeting towards the ground, and you say "we're gonna crash." does that mean you want to crash?

This is not a rebuilding project. We hired a guy whose ceiling is the last guy's floor. O will be mediocre and won't get fired until attendance starts to suffer. This is Florida hiring Ron Zook only we should have known better.

By rebuild, I mean start from scratch. You don't take an old coach for what will take years to accomplish, because when you get where you want, he will be on the way out.
This. Plus an old coach with a failed resume to "rebuild"? No chance in hell! Need to rebuild with an up and coming coach like PJ Fleck and this is a real coach for rebuilding.

no lsu fan wants to fail. There is just a few of us that wont falsify the talent on our roster to justify losing to a sec bottom dweller.

The loss Saturday was 100% on O... however... maybe this team is just not as talented as most thought....

The worst thing about this hire, for me:
The ceiling for Orgeron that we can realistically expect is 2013-2015 Les Miles. A coach recruiting well enough to win 9 games, give or take one, in spite of his shortcomings.
The floor for him is sending LSU into a Texas/Tennessee/Michigan spiral.
Like another poster said. LSU appears to have hired a coach who's ceiling is the floor of the coach that was just fired.

Instead we got a worse coach and as a result we're in a major decline

dude did you not watch the game Saturday? You do realize how similar that was to how O's Ole Miss teams looked, right?

"It feels like we got put on probation"
For some reason that helped lighten mood, a mood that has recently been little given to levity in view of matters at the workplace and on the gridiron.

If you were middle management your whole career, promoted to upper management and failed miserably, return to middle management for another 8-9 years and then try for an upper management position again you bet your arse they'd care about your last venture into upper management 10 years ago.

I don't think anyone can really deny the downward trend started under Miles. In fact, it got him fired.
Problem is some people seem to be ok with the trend continuing downward under Orgeron, which is mind boggling.

I must have struck a nerve.
Let's see if I have this right:
My position is old but the same old shite spouted by the same old posters day after day after day is new and refreshing?
Just for grins and giggles how many anti-Orgeron hire lines have you posted? Each of them refreshing and original I am sure.
How does daily and in some cases multiple times daily posting the same criticism ad infinitum prove your true blue fandom?
Here's a thought. No matter how often nor how intense you criticize Orgeron, YOUR guy, who ever it might have been, isn't getting the job.
Life is often cruel.

Does screaming incoherently prevent the crash?

You have this completely wrong
i obviously have "a guy" but I would have been totally fine with Jimbo, Herman, Fuente, etc. Would have not been excited by Fedora but would have taken a wait and see approach.
O was the one completely unacceptable candidate because he is totally unqualified for the job based on his resume. That lack of qualification was on full display Saturday.

It should when you do it before the plane took off, like many of us did before Orgeron took the controls and started flying it straight towards the nearest mountain.

One can say what they want, but Coach O inherited a rebuilding project thanks to some not so good recruiting in some areas by "Mess Miles". Miles's talent and character evaluation skills were also apparently deficient. Consequently, we're thin in some areas and it is going to take a couple of good years of recruiting to shore that up. We have a new OC and it will take a good year to start seeing results (as in next season). Then there is the thing about player attrition with a coaching change and it would have happened regardless of who was HC. Programs go through cycles. We're not exactly in the valley just yet, but we're sure as hell not at our peak and haven't been in at least five years. It will take time, hard work, patience, and a little luck to get back there.
