I Have Not Read nor Seen Anything That Explains Last Night

Aranda? - can't believe he forgot it all in one week
Canada? - I know he's unproven to us but you don't think Pitt '16 would've scored more than 7 on State?
Youth? Depth? - we are young in spots and shallow in others, but to a point we can compete with State? For at least a half?
Les? - how can last night be blamed on Les? Ed has been charge almost a year.
Ed? - it's hard to believe he could make things that bad in a year if he was trying to.
Kudos to State but that alone doesn't explain what happened.

16 was the exception to Canada's resume. Sorry if you didn't see that

The is nothing that explains it other than the head coach is not qualified for his position

You better start believing. Go look at his time as Ole Miss HC for some clues

For fricks sake
When Alexander went down we were basically out 3 of our top 4 DLinemen.
Couple that with the secondary and LBs not knowing their assignments going against a seasoned QB coached by Dan Mullen and you get the perfect recipe for what we saw on defense yesterday.
Saban gave up 43 and 30 points to Ole Miss and Arkansas last year. I guess he forgot it all too, right?

Simply put: State was prepared, Tigers obviously not. As a result, ole fashion arse kicking.

There's an article on HailStateBeat that explains it a little.
State apparently knew everything LSU was going to do, and LSU coaches did not make adjustments. This reeks of LSU thinking they could play vanilla and run all over State.

For example: as MSU moved up and down the field, they also moved side-to-side, and as they did so, they knew where they could exploit LSU’s defense. As Fitzgerald explained after the game, they knew that whatever hashmark they were closest to, the open field side was where the Tigers were weak. Constantly, MSU rolled that direction on designed runs, quarterback rollouts and run-pass options all night.
“We knew they were going to be weak to the field,” Fitzgerald said. “We knew we could attack that part of the field for them. We always had two people in front of me blocking. Had great blocks. Make sure people on the perimeter are blocking, too. Really, all I do is run.”

It is the Head Coach's JOB to get everyone on the same page and get them ready to play.
With a super talented team and top flight coordinators, the wholE TEAM was not ready to play and got their tails kicked in every phase of the game.
No emotion. No fire. No heart.
This is ALL on the Head Coach. Sorry to say it. Orgeron is in over his head.

You are confused because you are looking for a simple answer and are accustomed to blaming the coach and scheme.
In reality we were physically outmatched on both lines...and our linebackers are well below average minus White.

Very simple. We got our butts kicked in the trenches all night long.

Look at the roster. Look at their class. Look at who the experienced players are. This team has a huge gap in quality, experienced players. How many 3rd, 45th, and 5th year players are there? How many are good?
