Heard about this kid who has a bad case. The shite gets so much deeper than most people realize. Really an awful affliction. Tell us your story.

It's hard to watch when it's legitimate OCD.

I've learned to best it for the most part. Alcohol really helped.

Have suffered from severe OCD since my late teens. Has gotten progressively worse into my mid-20's. I'm on some of the strongest medication out there (outside of lithium), and still have symptoms. Pretty defeating and depressing tbh. The hardest part is at work, especially if you're in a high-stress office environment.

Yeah that's what I heard. This kid said if he had a bad interaction with somebody, he had to go through a series of mental recitations and say them perfectly or else he couldn't stop, then do a series of self handshakes. Holy frick.

At my worst point, i did similar things except with numbers. Unfortunately, it runs in the family.

This kid is having a good go at getting control of it. A lot of therapy and some drugs. Constant battle, though. I wish you the best of luck getting ahead of it.

Severe obsessive thoughts, need to pee every 5 minutes, it's pretty bad

I had to withdraw from a top law school due to OCD and anxiety, just couldn't handle that sort of pressure.

Sometimes I have to fap before I can concentrate enough on my work day to leave the house. Really inconveniences me

I treat OCD all the time.
It's an awful condition and it occupies so much time and energy in people's minds.
Would not wish it on my worst enemy.
Well maybe on Coach Malzahn but that is for another board.

Minor OCD... Symmetry. Getting worse as I get older.

I really dislike when someone says "I'm soooo OCD about..."
Nah, if you were OCD about it you wouldn't mention you are OCD about it in such a fun way.

Yep, I ruminate a lot. Lexipro helps

I alphabetize the can goods in my pantry.

I had some variation of it I guess when I was in high school.
It wasn't a bad version of it like I've heard where people go to to extreme lengths, harming themselves, but it was weird and annoying and tiring.
I used to have a thing about going outside. I'd have to take a shower every time I walked outside. Sometimes 5-6 showers a day. There were times when I would walk out of the house onto the patio and then run in to take a shower.
Now if I wasn't near a shower, I'd be fine. I played sports and such. But if there was one around, I had to use it.
Would rinse my hands maybe 30-40 times a day. Would always let them drop dry because I didn't want to touch the germ filled paper towels.
Was also always checking multiple times to check if the door was locked.

Minor OCD. Gotta use Arial Font and consistent formatting techniques on all spreadsheets.
