Just curious.

Did we just time warp back 6 years to you repeating these threads again?

It's preferable to a lot of the other shite they spend it on. Particularly since it actually has some direct benefit to me.
I don't get that from Medicaid, Social Security, Food stamps, etc...

I'll probably get more out of it than social security.

That doesn't really happen. Does it? If so, I need details. Thanks in advance.

No, I prefer to fund Cowboy Poetry and Lovebug Research: Why do they love so much?

I'd rather it go to the film industry.

nope. I'm not at this point.
ESPN can go out of business as far as I am concerned. NFL too

no, but the silver lining is that it probably drives you insane

I think New Orleans folks would sell their very soul to the devil to keep the Saints. It's the last thread of relevancy the city is hanging on by....other than being seen in the movies due to paying those guys of as well

yes
The Saints are a net positive from a tax standpoint and contribute a very real intangible value as well.
Any net neutral venture that contributes value to the city is a good one.

No.
And it has nothing to do with players sitting or standing during the national anthem.

prove that.
Show me one study that says the money spent by local people on the Saints generates more tax revenue than if that same money was spent on non subsidized activities and goods and services by the local people.
You can find Saints funded studies that talk about their "economic impact" but those studies never consider the very basic reality that the people would spend the money anyway whether the Saints were here or not.
I will say that the benefit to the City is probably positive because people in Jefferson Parish or St. Tammany parish are spending in the city but to the State is most likely negative and it is the state that is the source of most of the subsidies.
There is very little out of state money spent on the Saints comparatively speaking.

Sales of fleur-de-lis ornaments would drop and the economy would crater as a result. Why do you hate the fleur-de-lis?

I may do some research.
But, before that happens, can we agree that if the impact was net neutral, it would be a good investment because of the increased intangible value it brings to the city and state?
