Are you serious with this? You are claiming that a picture of a hole next to someone's index figure is a foot or more in diameter?
It's obvious you're seeing what you want to see rather than what is actually there. Or you're being intentionally dishonest or trolling.
And as far as timing, I didn't read where that came from, but it would seem like they managed to bore a three inch deep or more hole in granite using that method fairly quickly.

I completely agree. There's no way the hole in that second picture is a foot in diameter.
