You have no clue that this is indeed the case none what so ever. The guy might feel that he can truly win that spot over? Never know what's going through these kids heads. He might just like our staff better. He might want the chance to play Bama every year and dethrone them? Who knows. He's coming visit and is talking about LSU. That's big. We could point to the GA situation as one that is possible. Starter gets hurt, you take over. What ever the case this is positive for LSU. Haven't had a recruit this highly ranked come through in quite sometime much less a QB recruit. He might just fall in love with Tiger stadium. He might want to spend some of his own money and come for a bigger game later.
This is a big deal whether we get him or not.

No way the current favorites get him? He's said repeatedly he wants to redshirt to learn the O and does not mind waiting his turn and battling for a spot. This kid is different than most recruits. Very humble, quiet kid who is also top ten in his class at one of the best public schools in the southeast. It's a little early to say UGA has a shot. Especially when he's close with his family and wants to be close enough that they can come to his games and his sister's softball games. Not saying LSU can't pull him in but it's silly to say UGA has no chance.

Obviously.
But, I've read this thread and don't remember anyone on here saying the UGA has no chance. Did anyone actually say that or are you just making shite up?

Maybe you should read the post I replied to.

You are 100% correct young1. I know for a fact that Fields is not coming to LSU so everyone just calm down. He is either a FSU or GA lock. He is leaning towards FSU because of the QB situation at both LSU and GA. What young QB stud in his right mind would want to enter into either of those scenarios. I don't care if he says he is coming to evaluate MB and LN or not I am telling you he is coming in to enjoy the weekend, take in a Tigers game and give his mom a nice all expense paid weekend in BR. It will take at least one more recruiting cycle to consistently attract high caliber and highly rated QBs to LSU. What has happened in 2017 by getting both LN and MB is nothing short of a recruiting miracle. Let's enjoy them while we have them. The future will take care of it
You know this how? I pretty much agree with this unfortunately

Please don't do this to us Easternio...

No worries bro
I see LSU as a legit threat. It's recruiting and he could go to Sam Houston St. for all we know.

Anyone know if the parents made the trip with him?

It is beyond obvious you are connected to Brennan, regardless of what you may say. LSU fans want good players to come in every year at every position and let the chips fall where they may. Players will face competition regardless of where they go.

He may be humble but this kid is not going to a school that will have him sitting on the bench behind a 1st year starter.

He's already said that's not a big factor to him but whatevs.

Dang how do you know such facts?
Pretty easy to say he's not coming to LSU though..

It's silly to say no one he visits has a chance. I agree.

I never said he had no shot at GA. I said no way he goes there because of yall's QB situation. (2) previous number 1 pocket passers, both young, and after this year both will likely have a years experience. Chances don't look very good IMO especially if LSU really wow's him. This offense will look fun as hell to a young QB and worse case is he can sit back for 3 years then start for (2) if he beats out Lowell Narcise. Better shot doing that then beating out two guys who've played a year in the SEC and can probably pass better than he can, and are young. Would be different if they were RS sophomores or juniors but that's not the case.
At LSU he could come in and compete right away with a guy who hasn't played a competitive snap in the SEC or worst case he could RS, wait his turn and take over for (2) years. We also play Bama every year. He might want to be the one who takes them down? He might prefer this offense and dominant defense we have. GA doesn't quite have the defense LSU does.
He might also think highly of Canada, someone who has taken previous rejects, and produced amazing stats with them, after one season. They were all drafted after not really having a shot at the pro level. If he does the same with Etling, it would look like a sure shot at him developing under Canada. That's hard to beat as well. GA has a chance, everyone does, I just don't see it myself. That's really all I was saying.

He spelled "Geaux" correctly. LSU lock.
Great observation

We lock him up, we lock every big time receiver in this state up also
OR, if we lock up Marshall, we lock up fields knowing he just has to throw it up and he makes the grab. Couple that with the game day experience at LSU (even though is Chat)... he coming

Honestly wonder if this happens. Do they run 50+ times with the #1 qb in the country on campus watching? We obviously won't need to open the playbook, so I guess this will be a real measure of how bad they want Fields
I was thinking the same thing. Put on a show for the guy who could be the immediate future or 3 year later future of LSU's QB position.

@Sheadixon Pros: getting a 5-star QB onto campus. He's their only official visitor so he has the staff's full focus. Cons: none. LINK
