Howdy, I hope Lousianans is the actual term used for you fine folks.
I just wanted to extend my gratitude to the people of your state who have made efforts to assist those in Texas, despite dealing with your own problems resulting from Hurricane Harvey, as this storm continues to impact both of our states.
I live in College Station, and tonight after three days of rain, my apartment has finally succumbed to the weather and began to partially flood. Luckily it's contained to my closet and bathroom thus far and I count myself lucky to not have been in the crosshairs of the downpour in Houston and along the coast.
The next few days and coming weeks will be difficult to say the least, for all Texans, but I am truly thankful to see the immense support that has been offered to us by yourselves and others of the communities along the Gulf Coast.
I know that some of us Aggies, particularly on this website, enjoy adding fuel to the fire when it comes to our faux rivalry ... and events like this one make me realize how stupid it is to spend so much time focusing so much on our differences when we have so much in common.
The people of Louisiana are hard working, caring, and genuinely kind hearted people, ready to help out their fellow countrymen, and human beings, at a moments notice.
Your support, be it physical, emotional, spiritual, etc. has not gone unnoticed. Believe me when I say that myself and the people of Texas are eternally grateful for the support you have shown us these past few days.
It matters to me a great deal, and millions of other Texans, that so many of you have been willing to come and assist us in the manner that y'all have.
It's 5 AM and I still have some work to do so I can't afford to spend as much time and energy on this post as I would like but ... THANK YOU. From the bottom of my heart.
God bless everyone of y'all, Texan or Louisianan, I hope y'all are staying safe and dry out there!

Hey man, we understand what you guys are going through a lot better than most. We don't mind helping at all. Actually, we're happy to. Good luck, to you and everyone else. I hope you can contain the flooding at your place and stay safe.

Solid post.
People from Louisiana come together in times of need to extend a helping hand to whomever needs it, even Aggies who stole their second rate defensive coordinator.
jk/lol Good luck to you

Hope all is well on your end. We give each other shite but our two states despite our vast differences seem to have a lot of love for one another.
My thoughts go out to all that are being affected. We will prevail through this tragedy.

There's probably not one person in Louisiana who hasn't flooded or had a family member flood. It's tough, and it's a long journey. My guess is you will see Louisiana people out in strong numbers. We get it. I'm definitely going to help. I flooded last August, so it's still fresh with me how much help I received and can't wait to pay it back.

God Bless You Buddy, so many of us know exactly what you are going through and we are saddened at your loss, though we know you guys are tough and will come back stronger

Just know things will get better, not tomorrow, next week or next month, but they will get better.
My hometown was hit hard in the floods last year & driving to work this morning I had tears in my eyes seeing how far we have come.
People are organizing & will be there to help as soon as they can, local animal shelters are sending dogs on transports to have room for animals coming in from TX.
Our hearts & prayers are with y'all.
Good luck & God Bless

Hope this mess blows over and prayers for a speedy recovery. The Cajun Navy is there to assist Houstonians still trapped in there houses

There is a lot of negative said about Louisianians and much of it probably true. However, despite our faults I believe Louisiana is filled with some people with really huge hearts that will take care of their neighbors in a time of need.
Hope everyone in Texas can rebound from this and come back stronger. Prayers with everyone right now being affected.
Always good to see people helping and supporting each other in whatever way they can. Best of luck to you and yours.

Thanks for the support y'all. It's been a long day but things are improving.
I am so sorry to hear about the incidents involving ... certain residents of Houston ... and members of the Cajun Navy.
Absolutely reprehensible.
