I think the ones taking it west have the high pressure in the southwest pick it up and drive it west. The other models have the high pressure to our east pick it up and drive it more north.

The NWS is just throwing more adjectives at it. Catastrophic, life-threatening flooding turned in to epic, catastrophic, life-threatening flooding.
