I hear you but whether 500 dollars or 10 grand the theft operation is underway. I am lucky this was a secondary account. Nowadays why would anyone keep a large sum of money in a checking account, there is no interest to be made.
The complete theft operation just shocked me and I was not aware they started making fake cards with your acct. number. It is shocking.

I keep a max of $300 on my debit card for everyday small purchases, but the bulk goes into an investment account so I can manage my funds. I just move money over to it using an app as needed.
BTW - I've been hit three times on my debit card and someone also hit my Hilton account and converted almost 800 thousand points into $25 VISA debit/gift cards and had them delivered to Poland. By the time I figured it out it was too late for VISA to cancel the cards, but Hilton put the points back on my account.
