Arguments with spouse over money

Everyone says one of the subjects married people argue over most is money. I am not married so I am curious what the issues could be if I were to get married.
What aspects of money are couples fighting over? Is it trying to live a lifestyle in excess of what they can afford?
I'll hang up and listen

One makes way more than the other, thus causing friction on who should pay for what.

how, when to spend it on what and how much and how often

When your ex forges your name and liquidates your 401K all to support her drug and banging other dudes habit you will understand.

They argue about not having any.

Need items are easy to discuss. It's the Wants that cause trouble.

The bitch just doesn't seem to understand the 22' boat is too small. It's time to upgrade but all I get is pushback about needing money for food and shoes for the baby.
This just sucks, man.

You misunderstood my point. Income inequality is a huge issue. If one makes 100,000 and one makes 30,000, you can be "in it together" while still having issues. Sorry I don't bust my arse to give all my money to my wife.

Y'all probably won't make the same amount and usually 1 person is budget oriented and the other is a free spender. The person that manages the money (it's almost always 1 person) ends up being the bad guy/girl and has to say no about some purchases/vacations etc. Give the female a free spending account, maybe a few hundred per month if yall can afford it, and make her stick to a budget otherwise if you want to be happy.

Usually because one spends more on themselves than the other does.

You wanna talk about it?

Say you want a boat for 10,000. Since it is a toy you agree to save up and pay cash for it.
You are almost there and you have 8,000 saved.
She decides you need to get the house painted and new living room furniture and you are being selfish if you don't happily use the money you have been saving for the last 18 months.

Been married 5 years haven't argued over money ever. However, I do have a laundry list of really stupid trivial shite that we have argued about.

I am sure this is the case more than not. I know one married couple in particular who makes it obvious they are "keeping up with the Jones'".
They started having kids around the same time someone else they were friends with, started having their kids. From there, the other couple bought a certain vehicle, well a month later they decided to buy the same vehicle, but with the full package.
Other couple took their kids to Disney world, they buy a timeshare to Disney, etc, etc.
They are miserable. They always fighting.. In front of people. Complain about money problems, etc.. I don't wish it on them but they will likely eventually divorce. And their are a lot of people who try to keep up with the Jones'. So I am pretty sure that's a problem.
I rather be the Jones'... Ya heard?

Women suck with money. That is the source of all arguments.

With mine, she thinks that even though we're married, I still have to pay for the cookie.
