I haven't fished lake borgne in years. Is it mostly along the rocks and mouths by bayou St. Malo and places like that or out in the middle of it on birds and rigs?

Good to know. I'm taking my oldest next Thursday. Plan on putting in at the Rigolets and going from there.

Thinking about taking my Son and daughter since it is relatively close. I've never fished the area any tips or general directions would be greatly appreciated. I planned on launching at island marina

Think fort Beauregard or old navy base coild be worth a shot?

Where around lake borgne has been producing? We had a very slow morning before running in from storms around noon.
We tried the rocks along the east shore then a couple rigs then around bayou magill. A red, trout and sheepshead is all we got. We must be doing something wrong, any advice would be appreciated

You're not alone. We had a bad weekend too.

Live shrimp. Tried under cork and bottom at our different spots

We had a bad day too. Late start because I had to drop someone at the airport at 530. Caucht a few trash fish in live shrimp. The storms chased us around, the wind wouldn't let is cross the lake in a 20 footer. The water tasted fresh at Alligator point and bait fish were minimal. It is salty on the Biloxi M side of the lake ant that is where the trout should be. Need a calm day to get there.
I did have a legal red in my crab trap when I got home, so diner was good anyway...
