what price range are you looking in?

That's Plano's neighbor Allen. Plano doesn't have the football program it used to have, to justify such a field.

Nearby McKinney is currently building one that I think cost $60mil.
And Frisco ISD, they just play their games at The Ford Center, which is the new Dallas Cowboys facility, which I believe the entire project and surroundings cost $2billion or something like that.

Trophy club is a Fort Worth suburb. North, bordering southlake and Keller. very good schools. Wouldn't want to live up there if I worked in Fort Worth for another year or so, when I35 construction will supposedly be done...

Plano vs Dallas
How different is Plano compared to Dallas?
Cheaper to live in Plano. I lived there for 9 years...moved to Houston 10 years ago. I am sure it has changed, as there was still land to develop when I moved. Not sure how traffic is these days, but it had become very dense with homesites.

Plano is getting busier and busier. All the corporate relos. is making traffic around the area very congested. Collin County R/E market is extremely competitive right now. Plano is divided by the Bush tollway but anything south in Dallas you get trashier areas interspersed by pockets of expensive developments. Plano is nicer although you get some of that on the east side over by the 75. West Plano is a great place to live and the Legacy West development is making it very desirable. Plano schools are excellent but getting bigger and bigger. Dallas schools are shite.

I liked Colleyville of all the Dallas suburbs
Posted on 7/11/17 at 9:48 am to Paul Allen
Colleyville is nice but my next and hopefully permanent residence will be in The Colony or Frisco.
People may hate on North Dallas suburbia, but Frisco is pretty much where I want to be to start raising a family.
I find myself in the area A LOT. Especially since I try to stay away from the uptown 30killionaires. Frisco yuppies and MILF's haven't approached those levels yet.
However, I want to make sure you pay attention to the DNT expansion. Prosper is the next city in line to see potential blow up.

Last I checked you could get some real bargains on homes in central/east Plano and the area is still relatively quiet and suburban. Almost lower middle class in some hoods.
It's the west side, Legacy area that's blowing up. It's turning into Uptown North.

Plano if you've given up on life.
Dallas if you're still living.

This is true but again: "lower middle class". They are some ratty areas in east Plano. Although that is changing too. Toll Brothers and other high end developers are buying up big swaths and putting in some real nice custom homes where I don't think anything is under $500K. They are doing it in east Plano as well. It's weird: You will have sub-division of $500K - $1MM next to a sub-division of 80's ranch style that are probably $200K-$300K.
West Plano is where its at though with Legacy West driving the demand. Market is very tight with houses going above list with multiple same day offers.

We live in Keller and love it but would suck to try to get to downtown Dallas for work from here. Frisco/Prosper is definitely the land of suburbia milk and honey in the Dallas side of DFW. Plano is way too condensed. Maybe because of the huge Asian population there.

If by not expensive, you mean you may be able to find an older house for $500k, then yeah, there some that aren't expensive.

I have lived in Celina for two years. It is growing it don't believe it will be the next Frisco. But who knows, I lived there for 15 years and don't think it would be this big. I moved to Frisco when population was 30k with 2 high schools, I moved out it was 150k with 10 high schools. I do know that we are currently have a population of around 7k.
I love it in Celina, lots of land out here and can still see the stars. Most of the subdivisions being built will be in Prosper ISD.

Frisco has 10 high schools and Allen has 1.
Somebody really likes their high school football.

Plano is higher income. Houses start looking nicer, businesses look cleaner and newer. It's the better place to live

You know what you call a cowboy from Plano? Nothing special , just a Plano cowboy?
