I use to play rounds with an older retired gentalman that only had woods and a wedge. He carried a driver 3-5-7-9 wood a sand wedge and putter.
Back when woods were actually made of wood.

Mine were the Big Bertha's that I got when my father in law passed away. Prior to that, I think I had a Wilson Staff driver & 3 wood.
