NOLA crime at a crucial tipping point

So says LSU Ciminologist
quote:
“If you can't protect 208 Bienville Street, what can you protect?” said criminologist Dr. Peter Scharf. “That's what the average guy in the street is saying.”
Scharf says tourists and convention organizers have taken notice of the violent crime that keeps happening in the French Quarter. And if the trend continues and the city’s murder rate increases, Scharf believes the tourism industry will decline.
“The country now is again gaining awareness of what the violent crime realities are here and the risks of something happening to them,” he said. “I think you're close to a tipping point the wrong way.”
And in the case of keeping troopers in the city, Scharf says it pulls resources away from other areas around the state. With a state budget crisis and law enforcement agencies cutting back, moving troopers to New Orleans fills a void - but it can also create one.

Funny thing is, the leadership in NOLA doesn't care about any of this. None.
Their job isn't to protect the citizens, only demonize those they disagree with, then fleece them.
This is what happens when you elect Proggies to destroy your city and state. EBR, NOLA, and now the state capital are all witnessing this.
Cue the apologists with "but it was worse in the 90's" babble.

Just pull all the police out and we can have Hamsterdam in Louisiana.

Crime in NOLA is a major problem, but stuff like this is complete hyperbole.

I will destroy as many statues as necessary, to get crime under control.

As I stated in a similar thread on the OT:
All these high crime cities should have extreme enforcement. Basically they need to get rid of the criminals one way or another. Bring in the national guard or hire former military personnel. Put snipers on every rooftop if you have to. Inform the populace that criminals will be shot on sight. Liberals complain about overcrowded prisons yet this shite still goes on. frick'em. Shoot the scum and dump them in landfills. It's not unlike ridding the classroom of unruly students allowing the rest of the class an opportunity to learn. New Orleans could be a wonderful city if not for the scumbags.
