Republicans are screwing the pooch and risk losing Congress. Democrats are allowing the crazies from the left to ruining them. Seems like the time may be ripe to get rid of the swamp in 2018.

Congress is driving the bus towards Single Payer, and they don't even realize it.

If they do realize it, shame on us for putting these fools in office.

Time to start a war on incumbents. There needs to be a grassroots effort against everyone that has been there for too long. They have shown time and again that they don't listen to us.

They know what the people want. So did Obama.

1. The electorate wants everyone covered

2. The electorate doesn't want their premiums or taxes to increase

No one has the god damn balls to tell voters that they're retarded and can't have both. The money has to come from somewhere.

I see it as the RINO's just trying to sabotage this administration. They know it won't pass and that is a win for them. They don't give a shite about the people they are just wasting time and this makes Trump look bad.

before Obamacare insurance polices had waiting periods and per-existing clauses (some with time restrictions) in order to deal with the individual who waits until they need insurance to buy insurance

I agree with everything that has been posted, and I agree with you that we as Americans always want something and don't want to pay for it.

But, it's an either or this time, and you can't have both.
Either go the full Monty, and totally restructure the Tax System and Federal Budget allocation, along with a total overhaul of Entitlements, which will leave the Congress to fund the Military and Healthcare almost exclusively, or Congress continues to be feckless shills and punt the ball down the road.

This is the plan the idiots who follow political parties still dont understand. They are 2 sides of the same coin. Which is why the R's never would defund it. And now will only recreate it. They serve only those whom feed them. Both parties now own this, just as both parties gave bail outs to wall street. As long as you allow yourself to be divided and conquered like ignorant fools you will be played so easily like pawns.

I doubt if this abortion of a health care plan gets enough support from the conservative members of congress to ever become law.

Yeah, it is stupid. But you all hate the solution more, so we're stuck with stupid.

This is so stupid.

Why dont we just change the requirements for receiving medicare to cover these people who dont have insurance. If they get sick now they go to the hospitol and must be helped and the hospitol writes it off. Just let them use medicare and be done with it.

Then stay completely out of the insurance business. Except to make it legal to buy across state lines.

The problem with accepting people with pre-existing conditions is that people will wait until they need insurance before buying it, and that makes it expensive for everyone. If you don't have insurance and you get cancer or something you will have to use medicare. It would be like not having car insurance and then having a wreck and making the insurance company pay for the wreck.

Life is not fair, you will probably die. Tough arse. You should have studied harder and gotten a job that either provided you with insurance or paid you enough money that you could buy your own.

insurance built on a sharing pool of risk. unless we want single payer, uncle sam, everyone has to participate to keep costs down. sort of socialistic i agree; but, too expensive unless young buy in now.

No. They should merely allow insurers to charge an appropriate premium (i.e., person doesn't carry coverage, then applies after finding out they have cancer = premium based on demo with cancer).

So you don't want single payer and yet you want everyone to participate.

Logic.. Not even once

Good God I hope not. Dr Jheri Paul and Honest Ted need to put in some work… on top of what they're already doing.
