Pioneer Mountains have some similar spots. Easy drive from Missoula. We went one July 4 and were the only people we saw, for a 4 day backpacking trip. We parked my truck camper at a designated national forest camping spot at trailhead for basecamp. I love Glacier Backcountry but I like being totally alone. Glacier's bc experience is definitely still amazing, especially if you do 8+ days during a less than busy time. But I like being off anyone else's schedule for sites. The griz freak out my wife too, so places like pioneers are an easier sell.

I have an Alpacka packraft I'm taking in the Bob Marshall, so she will not be joining. I have a feeling I'll have some new favorite spots there.
