Back in the early days of Airtran, a fellow passenger once had to come get me out of the bar to catch the flight, which had arbitrarily decided to leave 30 mins earlier than scheduled. I'm glad he let me know.

Valujet, but could have happened to freshly merged Airtran due to crew exhaustion.

"Yeah, but sometimes I can't afford 40 fricking minutes. I had an interview once, tons of counts put their purses in overhead, and it took literally an hour and a half for me to get my carry-on from baggage claim, barely making it to the interview in time. It's not the money, it's the time a-hole."
I've flown 60-70 commercial flights in the past six months and have not experienced this sort of delay for baggage. I guess I'm lucky, but that seems like an extreme example. With air travel if you book with little margin of error on connections and appointments it certainly can magnify things.
A lot of variability between airports as well though, I've seen the full range but not sure I've spent more than 25-30 minutes from deplane to walking out of baggage claim with my bag in all of those flights.

changed the name to try to avert the scumbag association, which they were, crew was exhausted, of breathable air, due to illegally shipped(by VerminJet,) oxygen canisters(crew was of questionable qualifications too)

I usually get upgraded so the faster I am on the faster I get a drink.
Before I had status I got on whenever my zone was called.

Become a famed celebrity. They board last and get off first.

No hurry for me. Business class for me so I'll let those unfortunate economy class get on first. I don't want some fatty bumping me with their arse squeezing their elephant selves down the aisle.
1. If you have status, you board first.
2. Get the window seat. No worry for fatty bumpage.
3. If you board first and sit in 1st class, you can get a drank before takeoff. Free is much cheaper than airport bar.

I'll admit, I only fly a few times a year. Though most of the time it's out of MSY and the flights are full.
I call bullshite. A few times a year is still 20 plus times in 10 years, you'd know the answer to the question.

Cause some people are in a hurry for everything, no matter if it's of critical imporatance or not, it's just something that's ingrained in them after rushing all the time

The biggest problem with boarding is the amount of crap they allow people to carry on with them. There isn't enough overhead storage for the excessive shite people carry on. One brief case or backpack should be it, no reason to carry a backpack and rolling bag that is pushing the size limit to start with on; check your shite in.

Why don't they board from back to front?
She likes it too. Maybe because she doesn't have to see my face.
Don't care, had sex.
There have been many studies done as to the most efficient way to board and deboard airplanes.
It's in the airline companies' best interests to do it efficiently so they do care about it.
The simple answer is that there's no simple answer.
The disparity amongst passengers as to mobility levels, motivation levels, and amounts and types of carry-ons make it complex. Airlines end up compromising and we have the existent boarding systems.

Wish they would charge people $25 for carrying a suitcase on the plane instead of charging to check the bag.

If you fly first class you board first anyway.
I fly AA most of the time from DFW, always board first, always get my bag at the carousel either first or second.
Perks of flying first class. You literally skip almost everything. Including the TSA line.
Why do folks stress about waiting 5 minutes to get your bag? Typically by the time I get to the carousel I only wait another 5 minutes max.
Edit: If you can't afford first class, should head to the money board and learn a few things.

If you're not first, you're last.
