Malcolm Suber, an adjunct professor at Southern University at New Orleans and organizer of Take ’Em Down NOLA, said the next big battle will be to remove an equestrian statue of Andrew Jackson, the seventh president of the United States, from a prominent spot in Jackson Square in the city’s historic French Quarter.

“Millions of tourists have taken photos of that statue without realizing the character of the man,” Suber said, noting the Tennessee native was a major slaveholder. “If Harriet Tubman can replace Andrew Jackson on the $20 bill, certainly we can do the same. We want to wipe the slate clean.”

I guess we have to take down the statues of all the founding fathers. Come up to Nashville guys! Help me burn down The Hermitage!

Look, they already took down Davis, Beauregard and Lee. That was no small potatoes. All those high powered lawyers in NOLA and LA. No real peeps out of anybody. And Wham! It's done. Do you really think, in this new era of batshite crazy Soros funded Prog-Left-BLM-ANTIFA activism, that somehow Jackson is not also in jeopardy. The same passive, dumb, unmotivateds and proggie hipsters still live in NOLA. Some even vote. Sometimes. But it won't be voted on any more than Lee, Beau, or Jeff were. One day the wrecking crew will show up. And Wham! again. Nobody learns.

I wonder how many of the 8% that actually graduate from SUNO take "Professor" Suber's classes?

I got downvoted almost immediately which makes sense because leftists also tend to hate the truth. The truth doesn't consider their feelings.

Shortly before they finally got Lee off of his pedestal, you could hear the crowd chanting "Jackson's next. Jackson's next."

I would hope he doesn't get removed, but if this you can be certain: Mitch did not pacify theTake 'Em Down crowd, he only emboldened them.

Nah bro. CVB told mayor's office not to even try. Plus the mayor has no interest in that fight.

I visited Beauvoir today and was told they "Are doing everything possible to get ALL the Monuments from NOLA that were removed." This may be the thing to burn Landrieu on, if he ignores this and gives them to his friend instead.

Also, for the Marxist Mitch Defenders, I would suggest you visit Beauvoir and learn about the monster, Jefferson Davis... About the black child he adopted that lived in the Confederate WH with his family, the Black family that he educated and that took over the Davis Family's Plantations up around Vicksburg.
