Man... kind of a low class move of him to discuss the job and not give Mainieri any heads up and then break a deal on poaching recruits. LINK

If Cannizaro were trying to poach players, do you really think he would have only gotten one of them?
He didn't poach the kid. The kid built a relationship with Canny, not with LSU. It happens in recruiting all the time. Not a huge deal. Paul is being a little petty over one guy that was only coming to LSU because of Cannizaro.

not really. Guy was offered a great job and there isn't a coach anywhere that wouldn't keep recruiting kids once he left for another school

Andy tried to convince the kid to stick w LSU, but he told him that he was the only reason he was coming to LSU. Anyone that knows Andy, knows that he is a high character guy.

If AC and Moo St weren't doing so well this year, everyone who is pissed about this would be saying good for him for leaving because he sucked anyway. But since he left and State is doing as good or better than LSU, some people want to nit pick about him leaving and a recruit following him. Wish the guy well, he was a good coach while at LSU. Just be happy for the guy and shut up.

Cannizzaro is not an LSU guy. He's a Tulane guy. He grew up hating LSU I'm sure. For Paul to think he was going to be loyal to LSU after leaving is naive and dumb. Cannizzaro is going to recruit the best players he can. Period.
