You mean Coach Brees went 5-5 that year
To be fair the difference with team with Kromer and Vitt was huge. Our season could have been much worse without Vitt that year.

I still say its because of turnovers.
the Saints actually ranked #12 in takeaways that year. I know its not easy to remember but there were plays like:
P-Rob taking an interception back 99 yards against the Eagles on MNF.
Malcolm Jenkins chasing down Vincent Jackson after a long gain on the road in Tampa. The play went inside the Saints 5 yard line but then some how the Saints D held on downs and the Bucs got nothing.
the blocked punt return for a TD just before halftime in the opener vs. Washington. That play made it a one score game at the time I think.
Jenkins picked off a pass and ran it back for a TD @ Oakland.
Jimmy Graham recovered a fumble by Colston towards the end of the Cowboys game??
i get what you're saying but sometimes funny bounces are the difference.
Not a run-through-the-wall pep talker like Vitt
