I know shite posting abounds on the MSB. I've contributed plenty of times.

But then a story comes out from a guy who's stuff you read weekly for years. Please take a second to read this because I'm at a loss for words. Just incredible people:

I've heard a bit about his story. Not reading that. Nope! Can't do it.

Dear God. What incredible strength by that couple. I'm in tears. I want to go wake up my 8 month old and hold her.

Oleyeller, y'all are in my prayers!

Man that brought the tears. We have two kids (normal happy and healthy) but our second was scary for a while there before birth. That is nothing compared to this couple. That is a real powerful article.

Thanks for posting and I'm sure it's a good article...but after reading the bold print and seeing the pic, no chance I'm reading that.

That was tough to read. God has blessed my wife and I with two beautiful and healthy boys. I can't imagine if I were in Royce and his wife's place.

There were some concerns from the hospital’s ethics team about Eva and our plans. But as I explained to them, and to anyone else out there that has this idea that we grew a daughter just to be killed for her organs, Eva was a terminal child. And as her parents, we elected to make her an organ donor. That’s it. She would be born, live an indefinite amount of time, and then we choose to donate her organs because she was under the age of 18. As Russell Westbrook would say, don’t get it twisted.

It was made clear to us over and over and over again how if Eva’s kidneys or liver didn’t go directly for transplant, they would go to research, and infant organ research is incredibly valuable. I got that. It made sense. But I wanted a tangible outcome. I wanted to be able to meet and hug and shake the hand of the person my daughter saved.

Haven't read this one yet, but read what he posted about a month ago and it hit me. Just so incredibly tough, but inspiring.

I'll read this later today when I'm at a place I feel more comfortable crying.

I didn't know about this story. I was worried about him through the espn layoffs, because he is so good at his job.

Now I see he was going through this personally while being a public media figure, and you would have no idea.

This story is one of the most incredible and heartbreaking things I have read. Yet uplifting as well.

Everyone should read that post. Makes me think about a lot of things in life
