It sounds like he's taking to his new job like a fish to water. Intelligent comebacks and comments, just as expected.

Great!
There's more where he came from.

The 49-year-old Gorsuch echoed his own confirmation hearing testimony with questions focused on the text of federal laws and rules at issue before the court. He employed a bit of humor, expressed a modicum of humility, showed a hint of irritation and even channeled Justice Antonin Scalia, the man he replaced, with a touch of sarcasm.
“Wouldn’t it be a lot easier if we just followed the plain text of the statute?” Gorsuch asked during the first argument, a highly technical case about which court federal employees go to with some discrimination claims.
That question sounded a lot like the answer Gorsuch gave last month, when he was pressed to defend an opinion he wrote against a fired trucker. “Senator, all I can tell you is my job is to apply the law you write,” he said then.
Time to fap.
This is why I voted Trump and it was worth it.

I hope that he can just do his job and resist those Temptresses on the SCOTUS named Sotomayor and Kagan. I don't trust those two sexy seductive Sirens.

I'm hoping Trump rams thru 2 or 3 more rock-ribbed constitutionalists (textualists) while we have control of the Senate. Maybe we could weather the next few decades with that kind of buffer. Make the DEMs - if they ever get back in control - pass laws to enact their agenda, not just 'decide' that the law already covers the latest wild hair in their asses.

Everything about him screams out character, integrity, intelligence, etc.
I think conservatives are going to be happy with him, but I'll wait and let him build a record. I've been disappointed by some of them in the past.

I'd have voted for Trump - or anyone else not named HRC - but the potential for him putting this kind of thinking on the SCOTUS is why I was excited about it.
This act alone makes him a success in my mind.

Is my nominee the greatest possible successor to the amazing Justice Scalia, or what?
You know so many people... even on the RIGHT said "oh, Trump won't honour the list".... Well did I honour that list, folks? Did I do an amazing job?

True - I was never disappointed in Kagen/Sotomeyor because they are just as bad as I expected them to be.
Only someone you thought would be conservative and then turns on you can really disappoint. I truly hope that doesn't happen, although I suspect Gorsuch will make a couple of decisions that warrant a wtf>?

I don't expect to agree with each and every one of his decisions, but I respect him enough to let him be the legal expert.

yeah - that's my feeling too.
I am way too far out on the right side of the spectrum. Nobody could possibly satisfy me with every decision.

The Democrats are likely to expand the court the next time they get the chance. As a preemptive strike, I think the Republicans could make a strong argument now for expanding the number of justices to be equal to the number of circuit courts. Democrats would cry foul, but there are strong arguments to be crafted for expanding the court.
