That bitch needs to be jailed at a minimum.

Some background not in the article that I just gleaned from looking at the pleading.
Guy in the driveway was apparently drunk and admitted it to the 911 operator. He also (according to filings by his family), told the 911 operator that he was calling because his son had a gun and was threatening to get in. When the dispatcher asked if the driveway guy (dad) also had a gun, he told 911 operator that he was armed and fully ready but didn't intend to use it. Driveway guy later admitted to shooting a round off in his yard to scare his son away.
So, cops showed up to a situation that knowingly involved multiple people, shots fired, and a drunk guy.
They still did wrong seeing as he wasn't a threat, but it's not AS BAD as the video alone shows. A lot more to the story, apparently.
It seems like when 1 cop was there before you, you should come in and follow his lead, not just come flying on and doing whatever you wanted to do, he obviously is going to have more info than her having been there with the dude for a minute or so.
And unless I missed him having a weapon or reaching for one, he wasn't really a direct threat at that exact moment, they could have easily closed in on him and either taken him down with no weapon or shot him if he made a move, since they were ready for that.
It's still gross to me, I can't see supporting her actions as having done no wrong.

This.
Old guy with his hands in the air....lets go storming in to tase him. She's just shitty at her job...and the guy cop is an arse for not telling her to chill out.
Seemed like he was just about to walk over and pat the guy down.

She didn't listen, and I know it's easy for us to 2nd guess, but given he has more info than her, you'd think he would have been more vocal to tell her to stand down.
Even still, I wouldn't place too much blame on him, even if he wasn't more vocal, I don't think he should have assumed she would do what she did given that it seemed to be under control.

why isn't she being held accountable?

for what exactly? the old dude was armed and shot off his gun correct? she used non lethal force...so what should she be accountable for?

Should she have deferred to the cop who was there talking to the guy for about a minute before she showed up? Should he not be the lead in that situation?

One of my best friends is a cop so I've hung out with quite a few of them. They all love the power that the job gives them. "I'm right your wrong" No matter what it is. Unfortunately it also flows over to their home life and they are all dicks to their wives.

Put that bitch in jail.
Posted on 3/27/17 at 2:07 pm to LSUTANGERINE
I nearly threw up watching that. frick that lady. She needs to go to jail. His family will never get him back because she was on a power trip and didn't believe the man to be disabled. There were two officers there. One could have helped the man to the ground to secure him. The other could have stood by with taser ready in case it was a ploy. This doesn't take a ton of brain cells. You have to know your surroundings as a cop. That's part of your training. The guy is on concrete. No one else is around. This was senseless, at least reckless, behavior. At the very least this is manslaughter. Unless all that audio and those captions are fabrications. Otherwise, this woman doesn't deserve to walk the streets.

Yeah, with this much detail being left out of the story, there is just no telling what else Tangerine is hiding.

To be fair, he's Russian. Ron Howard probably looks black to him.

Feel bad for the guy and family.
Too bad it wasn't Lsutangerine. Would have been a definite win.

People in here are discussing a video. Why on earth you would feel the need to post an opinion on the matter without watching the video is beyond my comprehension.
