Do you know anything about college baseball? Nobody cares about midweek games. Its all about conference play.

this all boils down to Paul not being an elite head coach

These midweek games losses might bite our arse come postseason seeding.
Apparently, according to all the experts on this board, midweek games do not count in the record of the team and are not considered by the selection committee. In the eyes of the committee, LSU is not 13-5, but 10-2 (the weekend record). So, it seems we could lose every midweek game the whole season and still be a national seed if we finish in the top 4 or so of the SEC with a combined midweek and weekend record around .500. Who knew? It's gotta suck for UNO, though, playing two great games to beat us and getting absolutely no credit whatsoever for it with the selection committee.

I think "credibility" was the word you were going for there, and mine has nothing to do with this discussion because I am not claiming to know whether these games count. I am only accepting and believing the more knowledgeable fans' assurances that they don't. If those assurances aren't true, it's not my credibility, but that of all these experts saying 2-3 in these games is just as good as 5-0, that is at stake.
