McConnell has been pretty supportive of Trump so far... If Cruz invokes that rule that will be a game changer. I can imagine McConnell would not be pleased and would be curious to see how the Senate "gang" try to weasel out of it.
It would be dangerous to invoke it if the current Demo rulers happen to ever win back the presidency but the Dems have been so partisan that they may be the only way the US citizens get true reform...
