It is the exact same movie as the cartoon. Same songs and characters. Just like Jungle Book, they are cashing in on the naivety of this generation's youth.
But I don't get why people care whether a movie is necessary or a message is necessary, when nobody is forced to watch it.

I am annoyed that Disney is bragging about having their first on screen gay moment in a movie targeting children.
