Mindfulness meditation

Any OT'ers practice mindfulness meditation? I've recently started and it's already a life changer.

I had noticed that I've increasingly lost the ability to be consciously aware of what I'm doing and thinking, and that causes me to be less efficient, less happy, and less in control of my emotions. I also noticed that every so often, I would have these moments of clarity, where everything around me seemed to slow down, and I became a sort of super version of myself. I'd become far more efficient at whatever task I was working on, and my experiences were drastically more vivid and enjoyable than when I was in autopilot mode. That state was usually triggered by some sort of highly emotional experience or a wake up call of some kind. The point of mindfulness meditation is to attempt to train yourself to always be in that state of hyper awareness. It can take years to master, but the better you get at it the more you will begin to enjoy every part of life. The good, the bad, and the monotonous.

What is mindfulness?
Mindfulness is the basic human ability to be fully present, aware of where we are and what we’re doing, and not overly reactive or overwhelmed by what’s going on around us
quote:
While mindfulness is something we all naturally possess, it’s more readily available to us when we practice on a daily basis.
Whenever you bring awareness to what you’re directly experiencing via your senses, or to your state of mind via your thoughts and emotions, you’re being mindful. And there’s growing research showing that when you train your brain to be mindful, you’re actually remodeling the physical structure of your brain.

I've used headspace. It's an nice change in a usually busy day. I prefer to do it at night, to calm my brain.

Mindfulness mediation, training, and what not has a great deal of research supporting its efficacy on the treatment of various anxieties, stress, etc.

Attended several seminars on mindfulness. Got exactly zero out of it. Didn't attend the last couple of sessions even though I had already paid.

Well did you go home and practice it? You're not going to see any positive effect just from learning about it

I do. And I also attend temple services and meals at least once a week. The monks are my boys. Slow your mind . Recognize anxiety . Be mindful. My kids have heard the mindfulness refrain their entire lives. Do not piss and brush your teeth . Piss mindfully. Brush your teeth mindfully. Seriously , mindful meditation will have you thinking that way. That sort of practical application of an ancient discipline. Btw- grievance based progressivism is not compatible with traditional Buddhism or the concept of mindfulness. I'd be happy to explain why if you ever made up your mind to hatch from your Desire to confiscate the fruits of the labor of others. You can't steal from others and practice mindfulness.
