The Southland Conference tournament will be especially lit, as I will likely be in attendance one of the days.

The Southland Conference was total arse this year
New Orleans is the highest rated on KenPom at 173. Almost certain the champ is headed to Dayton

Because I don't feel like starting a new thread - is there a worse style of basketball than what Virginia does? Nice win tonight, but 53-43?

Conference tourneys that hold them on campus are my favorite

Southland is absolutely arse. UNO isn't that good. They defend really well for their level.
Hopefully they can pull out their tournament title.

The conference tournaments are my favorite part of the season. The Missouri Valley is one of the more entertaining ones

Southland champ for sure heading to Dayton. Hopefully against the MEAC champ. Not sure if it's the MEAC or SWAC's turn to be sent to Dayton.

North Carolina Central is good enough to avoid Dayton, I think they would be a strong 16 seed were they to win the MEAC. Took a bit of a hit losing at home to Savannah State last night, but they are a solid MEAC team with a good coach. As good as those Norfolk State/Hampton teams who won 1st round games.

Arch Madness has been a tease every fricking year it seems. Usually the team who wins it was already an NCAA tournament team. The last team to win Arch Madness who wasn't an NCAA team was Indiana State in 2011
Last year I was pulling hard for Evansville and they got beat on a gimmick buzzer beater that bounced off the back rim by Northern Shitowa
The year before that I was pulling hard for Illinois State and they blew an 18 point 2nd half lead and also lost to Northern Shitowa
I have a feeling that this year is the year the curse is broken and we get a surprise winner. But, knowing this tournament, we will see Wichita State get upset by Missouri State in the semifinal only for Missouri State to lose to Illinois State in the final on a halfcourt shot

This tournament is a house of horrors for SMS
The last time we won it was 92 I believe. We, yes we as I worked in AD and went to school there, have been robbed of NCAA bids due to politics also because losing in a semi or final by a fluke.
