I guess I'm just ignorant to some of these added features you speak of. And I'm no fanboy. One of my favorite rigs was a Weaver Grand Slam that sat on an Encore .35 Whelen.
I guess I'm just a simpleton. The Leupolds I've owned haven't failed me. They transmit a lot of light. They're rock solid, and they're built in the US. I haven't felt the need to venture out. But again ( and I assure you I'm not meaning this maliciously; I'm genuinely curious), what features am I missing out on in the $300-$400 range? I paid $320 for my VX3i FWIW. It'll be hard to convince me that there is a better option at that price point.
