Do any of you have a canister-type water filter under your kitchen sink?
If so, have you had trouble with it leaking?
I have had two crack and leak and am tired of the shite. I like having a filter, but just cannot tolerate the risk of having my whole damn house flood because of this bullshite.

Yes, I have one. And we've never had an issue with it leaking.

Try installling it on the fresh water supply line, not the drain line.

Got one for like $35 off Amazon. Hooked up to just the cold water line. Never had an issue with leaking. Knock on wood.

I do fire/water restoration for a living. I make a lot of money off those things failing and flooding houses. Not a chance in hell I'd have one in my house.

I have one and installed 3 others and never had a problem. Might be just you.

Yes, and I've never heard of that happening unless your bitch is sabotaging it to get back at you for the time you got drunk and pood in the shower and then tried (unsuccessfully) to mash it in the drain

Are you talking about a reverse osmosis?
My dad puts these systems in for a living. I used to help him all the time while growing up. If you can explain exactly where and how it is leaking, I could prob offer some advice?

this is a big canister-type filter (about the size of a roll of paper towels). I am guessing that it just has filter material and maybe some charcoal. the thing has a hairline crack in the housing that was only leaking sporadically, so I was finding water down there, but could never see a leak.
thanks for the offer of help, but that piece of shite is now out by the street along with the trash...I won't be putting it back in the house.

Don't tighten it so much genius

No prob. You most likely had a carbon filter. Really easy to install and fairly cheap if you want to go with it again. Best of luck
