Being blown up by foreign terrorists is not similar to hearing speech you don't like. Don't be absurd.

Liberals wanted safe spaces after they read things on a bathroom stall at Mizzou.
The rest of us want the whole country to be safe from terrorism.
It's ridiculous that the libtards can't figure this out on their own.

The threat of terriosm is real and should be feared.
However, Trump's EO misses the target completely.

just so we're clear, you're saying this as a political point and not a legal justification for a court restraining the EO, right?

why?
because Trump is going to tailor new EOs until even the most liberal of courts can't attack them?

Partially. It stands alone as a political / common sense point.
It also undermines the basis for Trump's executive order. He is using an immediate threat as the basis for the EO and to fight any injunction, while not being able to articulate any immediate threat that his EO would address.
But that is only part of the legal argument against the EO.

oh i agree. but that argument is a terrible one
that is literally having the judiciary review the justifications for executive actions. that's a clear violation of SOP
now the EO violating constitutional or statutory limits could be valid and are legit legal arguments

I'm sure some posters are actually googling irony to find out what it means.

How does his EO miss the target completely? What in the fck is wrong with a temporary ban in order to sort the immigration process out and make it as secure as possible? There is nothing wrong with it, the only reason the hysterical left is freaking out about is because Donald Trump imposed the order.

More Executive Orders! This is the way to govern - it's so easy! This is cool now, right???

For the last eight years or so.
Seriously, when you actually have the authority, yes.

Fdr's action was found constitutional whenever he rounded up the Japanese-American citizens during WWII for national security purposes. The precedent is already set
