gun safe in garage vs humidity - need advice

Could I put a large gun safe in my garage with an internal dehumidifier or desiccator? I have a few reeeally nice, well-maintained shotguns and rifles from my dad that need protection from humidty and dust. I bought a gun safe to fit in bedroom closet, but really wanted a larger one that would have to fit in my garage-shop. The other option would be keep the small one for inside, and get a second for the garage where I keep all the "duck guns".
Thoughts? Thanks in advance.

I have mine in the garage with a "goldenrod". No rust or moisture issues over the last 5+years its been out there. I have most of my wood stock guns in gun socks as well but that is primarily to help prevent scratches, although they are supposed to help against humidity as well.

They make a gel dehumidifer that changes colors when it is saturated. Pop it in the oven to dry it out and you can reuse it over and over. Just have to remember to check it every so often.

I was wondering about those as well. May get one for the box where we keep the little bounce house we bought last week for our daughter.

and no rust spots?
everything is wiped down w/ WD40. So with the desiccator and that it sounds like I should be good.

Noooo not wd40. Use a good clp. Breakfree or something similar. The only thing I trust wd40 for is to take bumper stickers off.... never around a firearm
