US to London To Paris

I'm flying from the US to London in a month. Decided when I land in London I want to head straight to Paris. I bought a cheap flight that leaves a few hours after I land in London. Does anyone know if I'm going to have to go through customs and then back through security to go to Paris. I wasn't sure how it works being that it's not a layover, but a separate trip.

When we landed in Heathrow, we had to go through customs and security just to get to the outbound gates so I would be willing to bet that you will have to as well. Give yourself 2 hours at least. We had to almost sprint to our outbound flight with an hour and 22 minute layover.

If you're flying into Heathrow, which I suspect you are, there is a page on the airport website where you can put in your flights and it'll help you plot out the steps you need to take.
Since you didn't book all the way through to Paris, I'm pretty sure you will have to go through security in the UK.

Thanks, for the help. I'll definitely check out the website.

Is it too late to switch from a flight to a train?

I think the timing and price will be about the same. Figured since I'm already at the airport that was the easiest thing to do.

Yes you will. Especially if you checked bags.
Fwiw, Eurostar is way better than flying, although I can see your point since you're already at Heath roe.
