I was under the assumption the entire reason for the bidding process was to go back to the .45
I found it interesting they didn't specify it was going to be a .45.

Is there a specific reason they wanted to go back to using a .45 other than just a bigger caliber? I know nothing of how military contracts work but it's interesting
