Quite possibly the biggest bust I've ever seen at the college level.
He was a random 4 star recruit. He just caught Zach Lee syndrome on the rant

It has now become a life goal of mine to have jake Latz and travonte valentine autograph a pic of a unicorn

With Valentine's track record, I'm not going to put this on Orgeron. Valentine has been dismissed from 3 teams. There's a pattern there
Also, if you set aside the hype, he sucked. He flat out wasn't a good player. Was on skates, had an alarming lack of ball awareness. Didn't diagnose shite. He simply wasn't worth the headache which I said last year before they brought him onto the team (and I was met with many people saying I was wrong).

It's not the goal or job of a college football coach to "save" young men. It's about putting the best product on the field and winning. Yes, a by-product of that is learning discipline, dedication, sacrifice, humility, etc. but that's not Les' or O's primary job.
There are plenty of D-II and D-III schools where the pressure is less and Valentine could've gone to get "saved." But that's not LSU's job.

Well....if you can't do...you can't stay.

“At this point in time, Travonte is no longer part of our football program,” Orgeron said. “We wish him the best.”

just get bodies in there with size, that actually want to be part of a team and not a selfish individual like the mythical white whale.
There's a huge difference between just getting bodies in there and having a disruptive force like Dorsey was, and like TV had the talent to be. With the DBs taking a (hopefully small) step back next year, you need a disruptive force on the line. Who is it going to be?

What a waste. I would wish this kid luck , but I did that once before. Shame on him this time.

In an unrelated note, he hung out with Craig Victor a lot.

i would prefer to have a 3 star that works his arse off and never sees the field, than to have someone that was giving multiple opportunities and pissed them away, just based off of size appeal.

This guy just couldn't get his shite together
Posted on 1/19/17 at 10:42 am to dirtytigers
What a shite show. Kid really needs to get his stuff together

How about neither? I wasn't saying they should have kept TV, but I'm done with moral victories.

Does this mean I can't believe in unicorns anymore?

looks like Coach O will discipline the kids and keep them in check
Like he kept Valentine in check? He was his position coach. Kicking a player off means you couldn't keep them in check.
